About Romy

Romy is a visual artist whose work explores the human body, intimacy, and emotional connection. Having painted since childhood, her art has evolved into a deeply personal dialogue about belonging and identity. Romy's recent series reflects on the people who have rekindled a sense of family and shared humanity, capturing faces and gestures that speak of closeness and care.

Currently, Romy is delving into the intimacy of queer love — an exploration of vulnerability, affection, and visibility within personal and collective experience. Alongside these portraits, she experiment with the element of water, fascinated by its complexity and symbolism. By combining fluid forms with human studies, Romy creates a visual language between the untouchable emotions we feel and the tangible mystery of nature itself.
